Job Summary
Support a service user with complex needs through person-centered care, assisting with daily living activities, personal care, and home management. Responsibilities include complex personal care, meal preparation, household tasks, assisting with community access, mobility/hoist transfers, bowel/bladder and catheter care, medication support, supporting exercise programs, sleepovers, and weekend shifts. The role emphasizes safety, reliability, attending to changing care needs, and contributing to the day-to-day running of in-home health services. Opportunity to gain Level 3 and Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualifications with training provided; flexible hours with rotating rosters within the Upper Hutt area.
Required Qualifications
- Ideally, prior personal care experience is preferred.
- Experience in working with intellectual and physical disabilities is advantageous.
- Flexibility to travel anywhere in and around Upper Hutt
- Flexibility to work on a rotating roster
- A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is preferred
