Job Summary
Provide medical, technological, environmental, emotional, physical, and behavioural support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a Calgary group home; assist with hygiene routines, meal preparation, g-tube feedings, house chores, transportation to activities and medical appointments, and medication administration; drive throughout Calgary for meetings and activities; document daily activities and incident reports; collaborate with guardians/families and care teams; implement and learn behavioural support plans; prepare for and participate in medical, legal, and community appointments; maintain safety and cleanliness of living spaces; require compassionate, professional, and proactive support for individuals with autism and developmental delays; minimum credentials include a Canadian Certificate/Diploma in Human Services or Disability sector and a valid driver’s license with appropriate insurance; preferred experience in human services, trauma-informed care, and relevant trainings.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a Canadian Certificate/Diploma in the Human Services or Disability sector (equivalencies will be considered)
- Intermediate computer skills and MS Office proficiency
- Valid class 5 driver’s license and a reliable vehicle, with minimum $2,000,000 liability insurance by time of hire
- Comfortable supporting Individuals with diverse disabilities and complex diagnoses
