Job Summary
Provide relationship-based, trauma-informed support to residents, promoting wellness, recovery, and daily living skills development. Support residents with life skills learning, including cooking, medication management, communication, conflict resolution, and community engagement. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and healthcare partners to implement and support resident care plans and wellness goals. Foster a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment through positive role modeling, supportive communication, and community-building activities. Assist with meal planning, food preparation, and maintaining food and wellness supplies. Support community development initiatives by organizing activities and building relationships with community stakeholders. Maintain accurate communication, documentation, and administrative processes while ensuring compliance with organizational, health, and safety standards. Work a 4-day on 2-day off rotation from 3:00PM to 11:30PM.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Human Services, Education or related field
- Standard First Aid and CPR
- Valid Class 5 Driver's License and vehicle
- Proof of vehicle insurance (min. $2 million liability), registration and 3-year drivers abstract
- 3+ years of direct service experience supporting diverse communities with complex and varied needs
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment and work within interdisciplinary partnerships
- Strong knowledge and application of harm reduction, trauma-informed, person-centered, and strengths-based practices
- 4 days on 2 days off rotation; 3:00PM – 11:30PM
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
