Job Summary
Provide quality client support and direct care to individuals with disabilities, contribute to assessing client service needs, accompany clients to assessment services, collect data on behaviours of concern, assist with health/medical needs and daily living skills, support families and professionals, and help develop Individual/Essential Lifestyle/Person-Centered Plans; collaborate within a team in Calgary on-site part-time role.
Required Qualifications
- A certificate in disability studies and/or social work from a recognized institution. Equivalencies may be considered.
- Knowledgeable and experienced with various diagnoses surrounding persons with disabilities.
- Previous experience in disability services or human services is required
- First Aid CPR Level C Certificate is required
- Police Check with Vulnerable sector is mandate
- A caring, reliable, and person-centered approach
- Strong communication skills are required
- Possess well developed computer use skills.
