Job Summary
Temporary part-time Community Support Worker for the Calgary Alternative Day Options program, supporting adults with disabilities in the south quadrant of Calgary. The role involves establishing professional boundaries, assisting clients in developing and monitoring ISP goals, supporting independent living and community participation, maintaining client/guardian relationships, completing agency paperwork (timesheets, monthly summaries, hazard reports, incident reports), participating in Health & Safety programs, maintaining essential certifications, and adhering to program policies and Alberta OHS legislation. Requires post-secondary education in Human Services, current First Aid/CPR/AED certification, Vulnerable Sectors Police Check, and a vehicle; salary range CAD 20.25 - 22.25 is noted but not converted to USD in this entry. Location is in Calgary, AB, Canada with in-person work arrangement.
Required Qualifications
- Post secondary education in Human Services
- A current Basic First Aid/Emergency First Aid certification that includes CPR/AED
- A current Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sectors Search that is satisfactory to CASS
- A vehicle and valid driver's license are considered assets
