Job Summary
Community Support Staff providing in-home and in-community supports to individuals with developmental disabilities and mental health/behavioral needs. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities such as personal care, meal preparation, transportation, housekeeping, and laundry; promoting independence and skill development in areas like community participation, health and safety, wellness, household management, and adaptive skills. Duties also include accompanying individuals to appointments and errands, maintaining a clean, safe living space, documenting progress, attending team meetings, and communicating with the support team. Requires a valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle (mileage reimbursement offered); flexible, team-oriented approach; full-time schedule (9am–7pm) with at least 18 (or 21 depending on person-served) years old, high school diploma or GED, and relevant education/experience. Mileage reimbursement provided; benefits include health, vision, dental, and other employee offerings.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associates in relevant field OR two years equivalent experience in working with developmentally disabled and/or mental illness, as determined by the supervisor
- Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record, auto liability insurance, and a reliable vehicle to transport person-served
