Job Summary
Teach activities of daily living, facilitate psychoeducation classes, and plan community-based activities including medical appointments and resource access. Provide personal care, administer medication under supervision, and offer transportation while ensuring safety protocols are followed. Practice verbal de-escalation to maintain a therapeutic environment and serve as an ambassador for clients and the organization. Collaborate with external systems such as schools and employers, document services per regulatory standards, and participate in staff planning meetings. Requires a valid driver's license, ability to lift up to 100 pounds, and one year of experience working with individuals with mental health or co-occurring disorders. Full-time role at Seven Counties, a provider of mental health services across multiple Kentucky counties.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One year full time experience working with individuals who receive services for treatment of mental health or co-occurring disorder
- Formal documentation by supervisor of ability to function independently as direct support professional and of proficiency in providing direct support services
- Ability to provide caring, nurturing attention and care to individuals with disabilities, including those who are medically fragile and/or have intense behavioral needs and/or otherwise pose a high level of risk, because of complexity of treatment/service needs and/or a complex diagnostic profile

- Ability to communicate with verbal and nonverbal individuals

- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license
- Proof of automobile liability insurance
