Job Summary
Community Support Specialist at Healing House, Inc. delivers trauma-informed, recovery-focused services to participants with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health needs. Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and reviewing treatment plans with participant input, facilitating psychoeducational groups, providing individualized case management, delivering crisis interventions, assisting with discharge planning, and linking participants to community resources. Documentation must be accurate and timely, aligned with DMH, CARF, and Healing House standards, while maintaining confidentiality and HIPAA compliance. Skills include active listening, cultural competence, communication, empowerment, problem-solving, teamwork, and proficient use of Google Suite and HER systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a human services field (e.g., social work, psychology, education)
- Two or more years of relevant experience
