Job Summary
Assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in daily community-based activities, including social programs, fitness, arts, sports, and festivals. Transport clients throughout the day to these programs and return them home, ensuring they remain integrated and engaged. Maintain accurate records of activities, goals, and reports while monitoring and redirecting behavior, including de-escalating conflicts and assisting with personal care needs. Ensure compliance with COMAR, DDA, and Richcroft regulations, and communicate progress through written notes and meetings. Report to the home of the person supported, transport them throughout the day to community programs, and return them to home at the end of the day of the program.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 20 years of age or older
- Possess a full valid driver's license (not a Provisional DL)
- Have at least 2 years driving experience
- Must have a clean driving record (no more than 3 points)
- Must have access to a reliable vehicle for daily use with current automobile insurance
Desired Qualifications
- Possession of a High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities
