Job Summary
Direct Support Professional for Community Support Program provides person-centered services per Individual Support Plans (ISP), including supervision, documentation, medication setup/administration (as dictated by ISP), and facilitating activities that promote informed choices. Requires effective communication with individuals, families/advocates, and team members; schedule flexibility to meet evening and weekend needs; driving to transport clients; maintaining certifications (CPR, First Aid, Crisis Intervention, Level 1 Medication Administration); adherence to health, safety, and Medicaid Waiver requirements; documenting records and coordinating with Support Coordinators; and upholding confidentiality and policy compliance. Position involves extended walking/standing, potential light–heavy lifting, occasional physical intervention, and driving as part of community integration. Equal Opportunity Employer.
Required Qualifications
- Be at least 18 years of age
- High school diploma or GED
- Communicate effectively in English
- Must not have disqualifying felony conviction or substantiated abuse/neglect in Missouri
- Must have reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients
- Must obtain Class E driver’s license
- Must receive Seasonal Flu Vaccination
