Job Summary

Conduct comprehensive intake and needs assessments for individuals and families seeking assistance while providing direction on CSBG, CEAP, TVC, and TBRA programs. Manage program compliance, ensure accurate client records, and process payments within established budgets. Maintain strong community presence through outreach, information dissemination, and collaboration with local partners to address poverty. Oversee staff supervision, maintain filing systems, and ensure office supplies and work environments remain productive. Work Monday–Thursday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with Friday hours ending at 3:00 p.m.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree with major work in case management or degree in closely related field
  • non-related bachelor's degree or associate degree with one-year case management/customer service work/social service work
  • high school diploma/GED with five years case management/customer service/social service work experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Previous case management experience
  • Supervisory experience
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and management, both orally and in writing using correct business English, including spelling, grammar, and punctuation

  • Demonstrated ability of personal computer operations within a Windows Microsoft environment, including Word, Excel, Teams, and Outlook

  • Must possess and maintain valid Texas motor vehicle operator's permit of appropriate classification and endorsement as required
  • Must agree to maintain a satisfactory MVR and minimum requirement of insurability as required by law
  • Ability to maintain physical condition and stamina appropriate to the performance of assigned duties and responsibilities which may include sitting, standing, walking, or riding in vehicle for extended periods of time, or other duties assigned
  • Ability to drive, occasionally long distances within the region
  • Ability to work in stressful environment and deal effectively with stress
  • Ability to perform duties and adapt to flexible work schedules as established by management
  • Normal travel - ability to travel to job related activities such as client services provision, meetings, training, and workshops, both in and out of the service area
  • Must be able to travel by air as needed to attend training, conferences, and related activities
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to bend and squat
  • Must be able to push, pull, and move boxes of supplies or files, equipment, and occasional adjustment of office furniture

Desired Qualifications

  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
  • Previous case management experience is a plus
  • Supervisory experience preferred
