Community Services Manager (Based in Wadeye, NT)

Job Summary
Manage day-to-day Council service delivery operations, overseeing core programs, minor projects, and all community assets including plant equipment, buildings, and vehicles. Direct agency staff, supervise local Aboriginal employees, and maintain safe working environments while adhering to Occupational Health & Safety regulations and the Regional Disaster Plan. Develop relationships with community stakeholders to ensure Community Safety Patrol Services are delivered efficiently, manage patrol budget allocations, and monitor performance against funding guidelines. Coordinate with grants managers to submit quarterly financial reports, incident reports, and statistical data, while liaising with NT Police and community line managers on criminal activity issues.
Required Qualifications
- Demonstrated experience in managing a range of service delivery activities and programs in a collaborative manner
- Demonstrated ability to lead, manage and develop staff from a range of backgrounds and in a cultural context
- Proven ability to motivate and manage teams to deliver outputs and achieve outcomes
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Relevant industry knowledge in the field of safety patrol services or similar service
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to consult and negotiate sensitively and effectively with Aboriginal people
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to produce clear and sound-based reports in a timely manner
- Well-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of stakeholders and resolve conflict
- Strategic and decision-making skills with an analytical and innovative approach to problem-solving
- Understanding of business and financial planning principles and practices
- Sound knowledge of the principles of Work Health & Safety
- A current NT driver's licence
- An appropriate qualification or relevant experience
- Sound computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Current National Criminal History Check
- Working with Children (OCHRE) Card
