Job Summary
Supervise maintenance staff for an apartment community, overseeing on-call emergency maintenance, scheduling, and day-to-day operations. Lead and train a team across multiple trades (carpentry, plumbing, mechanical/electrical, welding), perform inspections, enforce safety policies, manage purchase orders and material needs, and assist the Community Manager with annual budgeting to meet financial goals. Requires HVAC/Freon Recovery Certification, CPO, EPA Universal certificates, and a valid driver’s license; minimum three years of related experience; high school diploma or GED (college/trade schooling preferred).
Required Qualifications
- High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
- HVAC Freon Recovery Certification
- CPO (Certified Pool Operator) and EPA Universal certificates preferred
- Valid Driver’s License
- Minimum of three (3) years related experience
- Knowledge of skilled trades including minor carpentry, plumbing, mechanical and electrical, and basic welding
- Completion of in-house training within the first 90 days of employment
- Own tools
- Reliable vehicle
- Ability to manage on-call emergency maintenance and supervise a team
