Job Summary
Advisory Committee for OSSE to provide intellectual guidance to OSSE’s research projects and help formulate Partnership policy. Members should have substantive expertise in student learning, school improvement, and urban education policy and be actively involved in practice, policy, or research on school improvement. Appointed by the Mayor, DC residents only, with an eight-member body and a three-year term. Members must not be employed by the Partnership or NGOs funding the Partnership.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to contribute substantive expertise to research processes related to student learning, school improvement, and urban education policy
- Active involvement in practice, policy, or research on school improvement
- Eligibility criteria include residency in DC
- Not employed by Partnership or directly employed by funding NGOs to the Partnership
- Appointment by the Mayor
- Total of 8 public members
- Three-year length of appointment
Additional Requirements
- Residency: DC residents
- A person who works for the Partnership or is a direct employee of a non-government organization that provides funding to the Partnership shall not be eligible for membership
