Job Summary
Implement, integrate, and coordinate school activities, events, programs, and services that drive student achievement, stronger families, and healthier neighborhoods. Administer outcomes-based out-of-school time programs through fiscal management, associate relations, and reporting. Partner with school leadership and the community school steering committee to create the Community School Action Plan, conduct needs assessments, and map resources for students and the community. Serve as the primary contact for community partners to address issues in physical and mental health, family support, academics, and youth development. Hire, train, and develop a team to achieve the community school strategy's vision while supporting youth adversely impacted by the achievement gap.
Required Qualifications
- The ability to clearly communicate and effectively listen to children, parents/guardians, members, school administration and other Y associates
- At least two years of experience in community organizing or partnership building
- Prior experience managing a team to achieve performance goals and quality standards
- Prior experience conducting needs assessment, working in a public school setting and leading volunteers
Desired Qualifications
- An interest in the well-being of school age youth, enthusiasm, patience, good humor, good judgment and a good spirit
- Prior experience working with chronically absent youth
- Community resident
- Bachelor's degree in education or human services field
