Job Summary
Conduct prescription fulfillment, filling, labeling, and dispensing medications while updating patient information and entering computer orders. Manage inventory processes including order review, restocking shelves, and physical inventory preparation. Perform simple nonsterile compounding under direct pharmacist supervision and assist with scheduling home delivery for prescriptions. Complete prescriber outreach for refills and escalate patient complaints to the Pharmacist. Prioritize workflow by patient impact to ensure all assigned tasks are completed at the end of the shift. Assist in training new staff and contribute to meetings and committees as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Registration with Kentucky Board of Pharmacy (required before or on date of hire)
- Ability to prioritize workflow by patient impact
- Ability to perform simple nonsterile compounding per current USP<795> guidelines
- Ability to escalate identified problems or patient complaints to the Pharmacist
- Ability to attend and contribute to meetings and committees as assigned
- Drug-free workplace status (post offer, pre-employment drug testing)
Desired Qualifications
- Previous retail pharmacy experience
- PTCB certification
