Job Summary
Community Resources Specialist who coordinates with the Homeless and Foster Liaison to re-engage at-risk students and connect families to integrated services. Develops individualized wraparound service plans addressing academic, behavioral, and environmental needs; coordinates access to clothing, school supplies, hygiene products, mentoring, healthcare, housing resources, transportation, and other community supports; facilitates re-engagement and transition planning; collaborates with school staff and external partners; builds district-community partnerships; monitors progress and adjusts plans using data; supports credit recovery and postsecondary planning; maintains compliant documentation. Applies knowledge of Title I, Neglected and Delinquent, and McKinney-Vento program requirements and ensures coordination across federal/state guidelines; may require fingerprint clearance and flexibility in hours; positions may involve lifting up to 35 pounds and require Driver’s license as applicable.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, AND two (2) years of relevant receptionist, clerical, customer service, office support or closely related experience; OR any equivalent combination of experience and education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved.
- Experience working with at-risk youth, dropout recovery programs, or juvenile justice/child welfare systems.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate across systems and build community partnerships.
