Job Summary
Community Resource & Child Development Specialist at Fairfield First 5 Center focuses on building relationships with families, providing resource navigation and parent leadership, conducting developmental screenings (ASQ), facilitating the Triple P program, and delivering hands-on early learning experiences. The role emphasizes culturally responsive, strengths-based support, collaboration with community partners, and helping families access housing, childcare, mental health, and other public services while promoting child development and family empowerment. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field, 3 years of experience with young children and families, ASQ experience, and willingness to work occasionally evenings/weekends in a full-time capacity. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in child development, early childhood education, psychology, social work, or a related field + 3 years of experience working with young children and their families
- At least 1 year of professional experience in early intervention using the Ages and Stages Questionnaire (ASQ)
- Experience collaborating with community agencies, multidisciplinary teams and family-serving systems
