Job Summary
Community Resource Navigator duties include providing child care resource and referral services to families; maintaining the My Child Care Plan (MCCP) provider database; assisting with the CareWait eligibility list and subsidy applications; coordinating MCCP tech support and trainings; guiding families to community resources to support family wellbeing; staffing visibility events and Family Time programming; facilitating referrals to partners and service providers; and supporting program documentation, outreach, and data management. Requires knowledge of public benefits systems (e.g., Medi-Cal/DHCS), experience with families of diverse backgrounds, ability to conduct trainings and outreach, bilingual English/Spanish preferred, strong attention to detail, and proficiency with MS Office; flexibility for occasional evenings/weekends; valid CA driver’s license and reliable transportation. Represents a nonprofit agency and collaborates across departments to support providers and families, with eligibility for hybrid/telework upon completion of introductory period.
Required Qualifications
- Associate Degree in Child Development or a related field, or at least two years of experience working with families from diverse backgrounds in a culturally responsive manner, strongly preferred.
