Job Summary

Design, coordinate, and present personal violence prevention programming and education to the campus community, including Freshman Orientation, Welcome Week, and Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Assist the Senior Manager in developing projects, delivering advocacy services introducing campus and external resources, and leveraging social media to create marketing materials that expand outreach. Serve as the PEACC Center representative on campus and community committees to develop collaborative partnerships, while supporting daily operations through administrative tasks, intakes, and managing emergency needs. Presentations are delivered to students, University groups, and stakeholders to increase public awareness.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience to a Bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field
  • 40-hour Victim Advocacy Training certification
  • 40-hour Green Dot Instructor Training certification
  • Sexual Harassment Prevention training certification
  • Evening and weekend hours
  • Occasional overnight travel

Desired Qualifications

  • Master's degree in public health, psychology, sociology, counseling, social work, or a related field
  • Two (2) years of professional experience related to prevention or advocacy programs
  • Experience designing and implementing successful outreach programs
  • Experience effectively working with diverse populations
  • Experience participating on committees for coalition-building
  • Experience working constructively in an institutional setting
  • Marketing and/or graphic design experience
