Job Summary
Community Relations Coordinator at EllisDon in Moose Jaw, SK, responsible for implementing the Indigenous Benefit Plan to promote diversity, equity, and local hiring; maintaining site cultural awareness; populating and maintaining the FFCP website; acting as the cultural liaison for Indigenous workers; building relationships with local communities, organizations, and businesses; integrating socio-economic considerations into procurement, hiring, training, and community engagement; developing training resources on diversity, inclusion, and local hiring; engaging Indigenous businesses and suppliers; managing Pehta to measure impact and drive continuous improvement; reporting to project teams and stakeholders on socio-economic performance; ensuring compliance with policies and standards related to socio-economic development and local hiring; promoting sustainability and environmental responsibility initiatives; and travel to other project sites as required. Must have, or be eligible for, CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance. Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of Indigenous cultures, traditions, and values and understanding of socio-economic challenges faced by Indigenous communities
- Familiarity with policies, regulations, and standards related to socio-economic development and local hiring
- Experience identifying and engaging with Indigenous businesses and suppliers to promote local hiring and procurement
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites in Saskatchewan and Manitoba
- Eligibility for CSID (PWSGC) Secret Level Security Clearance or the ability to obtain it
