Job Summary
Facilitate recreational activities, social events, and community outings for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Assist participants in fitness classes, arts and crafts, cooking groups, and seasonal celebrations while maintaining appropriate supervision and person-centered support. Safely transport individuals in agency vehicles and prepare activity spaces to ensure a welcoming, organized environment. Promote positive social interactions, independence, and personal growth by modeling patience and encouraging active participation in Ocean County community life. Collaborate with supervisors and team members to deliver engaging programming and share ideas for expanding opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid New Jersey driver's license in good standing with no more than five (5) motor vehicle points
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Weekend daytime availability required
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred
- Demonstrated employment stability, including at least one (1) year with a previous employer preferred
