Job Summary
Community Recovery Specialist role in Quakertown, PA, providing daily support for residents in a 10-bed long-term structured psychiatric unit. Responsibilities include assisting residents with skill building for independent living (employment, education, money management, medication management, transportation, meal preparation, shopping for household goods, housing searches, roommate matching, social skills development), helping with appointments and transportation to medical visits, applying Psychiatric Rehabilitation principles, documenting groups and individual outings, participating in team meetings, ensuring compliance with procedures, and upholding professionalism. Requires high school diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred) and driving license, with background clearances; preferred background in health/mental health care.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Current and valid driver’s license
- Criminal record clearances, as dictated by the assigned programs
- Has completed 12 semester hours of college training in a mental health-related field or has at least a high school diploma or equivalency and 6 months of formal training in mental health or a related field.
