Job Summary
Lead day-to-day relationships with local pharmacies and health partners to strengthen service delivery across Sunderland. Manage operational questions, conduct audits, and analyze data to identify improvements for supervised consumption, needle exchange, and other interventions. Develop training programs, monitor activity metrics, lead incident investigations, and produce reports for commissioners. Support contract monitoring, SLA audits, and payment processes while embedding national guidance. Work with the National Pharmacy Team to ensure consistent best practice.
Required Qualifications
- Confident relationship-builder who can bring different organisations together around a shared goal
- Understanding of drug and alcohol treatment and the important role community pharmacies play in reducing harm, improving access and supporting recovery
- Comfort leading workstreams, analysing information and turning complex data into clear insight
- Ability to communicate technical or operational information in a way that people can understand and act upon
- Strong judgement, organisation and the confidence to manage competing priorities independently
- Collaborative and responsive to the needs of colleagues and partners
- Motivation by creating pharmacy pathways that are accessible, safe and focused on achieving better outcomes for people across Sunderland
- Right to work in the UK at the time of application
- Enhanced level Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check eligibility
