Job Summary
Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring regulatory compliance and maintaining accurate prescription and billing records. Interpret, verify, and dispense medications while counseling patients on their safe and effective use. Collaborate with prescribers on prescription clarifications, formulary alternatives, and cost-effective treatment options. Lead and support pharmacy staff, including technicians, pharmacists, and student interns. Manage inventory, including ordering, verification, and removal of expired medications. Administer vaccines and injectable medications following established quality, safety, and infection control standards. Foster strong relationships with patients and healthcare providers. Requires a Pharm.D. degree, active Wisconsin license, and DEA registration. Full-time, exempt role in Whitefish Bay, WI.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy program
- Active and unrestricted license to practice pharmacy in the State of Wisconsin
- Federal DEA registration and certification to administer vaccines
- Comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology, formulary management, and dispensing procedures
- Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
- Commitment to patient safety, accuracy, and ethical pharmacy practice
- Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Ability to stand for extended periods and occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds
