Job Summary
Provide in-home personal care to clients in Innisfil, Ontario, following established care plans. Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, grooming, dressing, mobility, toileting) and medication reminders; perform light housekeeping and meal preparation; offer companionship and emotional support. Maintain accurate documentation, observe and report client changes to supervisors, adhere to infection prevention practices, participate in ongoing education, and follow Bayshore/Carecor policies. Role emphasizes client-centered, dignified care delivered in the community with flexible shifts (Days, Evenings, Weekends) in a rural area, with on-site, in-person care and independent work within provincial scope of practice.
Required Qualifications
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) certificate or enrolled in a Nursing pathway program or a Nursing student
- CPI Certification required (Crisis Prevention & Intervention Training Certificate) - preferred
- Clinical experience as a PSW within the past 2 years
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and N95 Mast Fit Test Certificate
- Proof of current immunization for measles, mumps, rubella, and varicella (MMRV), Hepatitis B, and Tdap/Td
- Proof of negative TB skin test within the past (1) year or negative chest x-ray within the past 5 years
- Willing to undergo Vulnerable Sector Police Check as a condition of hire
- COVID-19 Vaccination proof may be required prior to start date
