Job Summary
Develop strategic plans for parental support and involvement with students in the South Metro GNETS services. Train parents, distribute accurate information, and interpret documents for language minority families to boost student achievement. Administer parent surveys, inform families about ESSA rights, and build partnerships between schools, families, and community organizations. Meet regularly with stakeholders to discuss progress and obstacles while conducting training for staff. This grade 22, 225-day position supports the GNETS network and requires regular communication with diverse constituencies including parents and external agencies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related field from an accredited college or university
- Must be eligible for Georgia Professional Standards Commission paraprofessional certification
- Excellent classroom management required
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years experience working with parents/families and community members preferred
