Job Summary
Part-time Community Paramedic providing in-home urgent and acute clinical interventions under provider direction. Conducts one-on-one in-home assessments with seniors, documents vital signs, assesses cognitive/functional/medication/social factors, communicates health updates to the provider/virtual care team, facilitates care-plan execution, prepares patients for virtual examinations, and performs routine procedures (including vitals, EKGs, phlebotomy, injections, wound care) with CPR as needed. Coordinates with EMS and hospital staff for emergencies, maintains clinical documentation, and adheres to HIPAA and OSHA standards. Requires paramedic license, BLS/ALS, CP-C within 18 months, and ability to travel to patients’ homes (travel up to 100%). Live in the Richmond, VA area; telemedicine/virtual care experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Current unrestricted Paramedic state license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Emergency Medical Technician (ALS) certification
- Community Paramedic Certification (CP-C) within 18 months of hire
- Associate's degree or higher in related field OR equivalent EMS experience
- Minimum 5-10 years' work experience as a Paramedic in EMS/MIH (per role criteria)
- Ability to travel locally and regionally up to 100%
- Driver’s License and reliable transportation
