Job Summary
Assess call situations to determine the best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols. Utilize medical equipment including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and intravenous fluids to provide advanced patient care. Drive the ambulance on 911 responses while acting as team leader for scene and unit management. Communicate with patients and loved ones to ensure they understand care is being provided. Collaborate professionally with allied health, public safety personnel, and fellow Paramedics. Participate in community programs to maintain the AMR image and establish strong community relations. This role requires a State Paramedic License, PHTLS certification, and BLS/ACLS credentials. Salary ranges from $73,394.83 to $112,102.00 with paid shift differentials and enhanced holiday pay.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- State Paramedic License
- PHTLS or a trauma certification equivalent
- State Driver's License
- BLS, ACLS, NREMT-Paramedic
- Driving record in compliance with company policy
- Pass Physical Agility Test
- Some work experience, preferably in healthcare
