Job Summary
Deliver high-quality Girl Scout series programs for youth in assigned Title One Schools/areas and cultivate partnerships with community organizations to increase visibility and funding. Support community volunteers in program delivery while monitoring evaluation results and adjusting delivery as needed. Lead episodic fun learning opportunities at local schools and centers, requiring public speaking skills and comfortable interaction with girls and caregivers. Track membership registrations electronically and travel up to 50 miles weekly using a personal vehicle for recruitment events. Work part-time between August and June with flexible weekday hours.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Experience working with schools and community organizations
- Experience presenting to groups and comfortable public speaking
- Familiar with Outlook, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
- Use of personal device and internet service
- Ability to speak in public group settings at local schools and community centers
- Ability to comfortably interact with both girls and caregivers
- Ability to meet target outreach goals
- Ability to lead and assist volunteers and staff with episodic fun learning opportunities
- Ability to deliver the Girl Scout Leadership Experience
- Ability to cultivate and collaborate with assigned schools, community organizations and networks
- Ability to support community volunteers to assist in Girl Scout program delivery
- Ability to monitor evaluation results and adjust program delivery as needed
- Ability to perform duties of the position
- Ability to work in mostly urban, Title I communities
- Ability to work between August – June
- Ability to work up to 20 hours per week
- Ability to work a flexible schedule of weekday hours, Monday-Friday, between 9:00am-6:00pm
- Ability to have occasional weekend availability
- Ability to travel up to 50 miles using personal vehicle
- Eligibility for mileage reimbursement
- Ability to communicate via email
- Ability to edit documents
- Ability to electronically complete and track membership registrations
