Job Summary
Drive the mobile medical van and support the outreach team delivering healthcare and social services to individuals experiencing homelessness in San Francisco. Safely transport team members and clients, perform daily vehicle readiness and maintenance, coordinate scheduling with mechanics, and maintain vehicle documentation. Conduct outreach to engage individuals, provide culturally sensitive health education, advocate for clients within the healthcare system, assist with care coordination and Enhanced Care Management (ECM) referrals, and support harm reduction activities. Serve as a 'street guide' to navigate encampments and field settings, while maintaining professional boundaries, following safety protocols, and contributing to a multidisciplinary team focused on trust, continuity, and access.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (minimum)
- BLS or CPR & first aid certification
- Valid California Class C driver’s license, clean driving record
- Must meet HealthRIGHT 360’s MVR standards
- At least 2 years of experience in community health, outreach, or related field, experience with homeless or vulnerable populations desirable
- Experience and comfort with driving large vehicles (RV-size)
