Job Summary
Conduct street outreach and community meetings to identify, engage, and assist potential victims of human trafficking while educating at-risk populations on workers' rights. Lead task forces and coalitions, organize neighborhood contacts, and make public presentations to inform external communities about available programs. Provide immediate survivor needs such as food, medical care, and transportation, then refer individuals to Resource Specialists and other agencies. Maintain connections with the HTVS team, document interactions in SalesForce, and assist with fundraising events outside normal hours. This one-year grant position requires lived trafficking experience, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and a valid NJ driver's license.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma and 3 years work experience in a relevant field
- Lived experience of human trafficking
- Bilingual English/Spanish
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Excellent presentation and public speaking skills
- Flexibility within their schedule for events and outreach outside of normal business hours
- Ability to work in environments where participants are living including outdoor locations
- Valid NJ driver's license with an insurable driving record
- Use of your own transportation
