Job Summary

Community Organizer focused on economic and environmental justice in Washington and Greene Counties. Builds relationships with residents, plans and supports campaign-related events, coordinates outreach, and develops action steps with community members. Works with coalition partners, supports campaigns around just transition, housing, affordability, and the economic impacts of fossil fuel extraction. Responsible for tracking community contacts and engagement, reporting to the Organizing Director, and developing local leaders through trainings and events. Hybrid in-office role based in Washington, PA; travel and mileage reimbursement provided for work away from home. Requires driver’s license and reliable vehicle; flexible schedule including some evenings and weekends; proficiency with organizational tools (Google Workspace, Slack, Airtable, EveryAction) preferred. Salary $50,000-$60,000, commensurate with experience; comprehensive benefits package included.

Required Qualifications

  • Resident of Washington or Greene County
  • Strong verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own schedule while collaborating with a team
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including some evenings and weekends
  • Reliable access to a vehicle and valid driver\'s license
  • Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Airtable, EveryAction or willingness to learn
