Job Summary
Community Office Specialist/Coordinator serves as the front-line interface for Healthfirst’s community office in New York. The role triages and educates members, liaises with multiple departments, and manages office efficiency while tracking metrics. Responsibilities include registering members in the HF Member portal, auditing applications to reduce rejections, conducting staff training on common issues, serving as Privacy Ambassador to protect PHI, managing CO inventory and payments, preparing weekly/monthly activity and traffic reports, calendar management, mail handling, and escalating sales/support issues. The position requires 1-2 years of customer service, proficient MS Word/Excel skills, strong written and verbal communication, and flexibility to work after hours, weekends, and holidays. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 1-2 years of customer service experience
- Ability to work before/after hours, weekends and holidays on a rotating on-call schedule
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Ability to create information reports using basic data manipulation (sort/filter)
