Community Navigator/Job Developer

Job Summary
Assess participants to determine employment, vocational training, and career technical education needs. Assist individuals in developing occupational goals and provide job readiness services including resume writing, mock interviews, and communication skills. Connect participants with employers, vocational programs, educational institutions, and community-based resources while maintaining a network of providers. Support participants in securing employment, obtaining identification documents, and accessing public benefits. Develop collaborative relationships with local employers, behavioral health providers, and government agencies. Maintain accurate documentation, participate in case conferences, and assist with data collection and quality improvement initiatives. Promote culturally responsive service delivery within the Contra Costa County Day Reporting Center serving the Adult Parole population. Launch anticipated July 2026 under contract with CDCR.
Required Qualifications
- Associate of Arts (AA) or Associate of Science (AS) degree from an accredited college or university
- minimum of two (2) years of experience in workforce development, employment services, case management, community resource coordination, or related services for justice-involved populations
- minimum of four (4) years of experience working in employment services, vocational support, community navigation, or a similar position serving justice-involved populations
- Knowledge of workforce development practices, employment readiness services, vocational resources, and community-based support systems
- Ability to develop partnerships with employers, service providers, and community agencies
- Strong organizational, communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills
- Ability to effectively engage diverse participant populations in a culturally responsive manner
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and electronic documentation systems
- Must be able to successfully complete and pass a DOJ Live Scan background clearance
- Must possess a valid California driver's license with no serious infractions within the past four (4) years
- Must be insurable under the agency's automobile insurance policy
- Must have access to reliable personal transportation for work-related duties
- Must possess current TB clearance and CPR/First Aid Certification or obtain upon hire
