Community & Municipal Engagement Manager - Community Solar (New Jersey)

Job Summary
Build and maintain strategic relationships with municipalities, elected officials, community-based organizations, and local business leaders across New Jersey. Educate stakeholders about NJ CSEP and community solar benefits while facilitating in-person enrollment events and representing the company at public outreach activities. Identify strategic partnership opportunities to expand access and serve as a trusted resource for community stakeholders throughout project lifecycles. Maintain accurate records of outreach, partnerships, and subscriber opportunities while collaborating with internal marketing, policy, and development teams. Lead stakeholder engagement for new community solar project applications. Fluent in Spanish and English with 5+ years in community engagement or public affairs.
Required Qualifications
- Fluent in Spanish and English
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5+ years of experience in community engagement, government relations, public affairs, business development, economic development, nonprofit leadership, clean energy, utilities, or related fields
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills
- Ability to be a self-starter and work independently while collaborating with a high-performing remote team
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Willingness to travel throughout the state for meetings and events
- driver's license

- Existing relationships within New Jersey municipal and nonprofit communities
- Experience with community solar, renewable energy, utilities, or public policy
