Job Summary
Initiate mortgage loans by networking in the community, establishing relationships with members, realtors, and building professionals, and spending at least half your time outside the office pursuing sales leads. Make sales calls to potential and existing members to retain current business and develop new loans, while conducting initial pre-qualification interviews and processing preliminary documentation. Prepare loan application packages, advise members on the best mortgage products available, and perform follow-ups on all files to expedite approval. Comply with applicable laws and regulations including the Bank Secretary Act and Patriot Act. Requires a high school degree, 2-3 years of financial experience, and a valid Mortgage Loan Originator qualifier. Base salary is $41,600 plus a monthly incentive plan.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum high School degree or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years similar or related financial experience
- Required to obtain or posses a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) qualifier (i.e. registration number)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer skills including Microsoft products
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Regular and predictable attendance
- Ability to sit and stand
- Ability to answer calls
- Ability to operate computer
- Ability to interact with internal employees and members on the phone
- Ability to travel to designated offices
- Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
