Job Summary
Coordinate food services operations for The Salvation Army East Kootenay Circuit – Fernie, ensuring compliance with the Canada Food Guide and health regulations. Assist with food recovery, sort and distribute donations, perform janitorial duties, drive to pickup food and drop off items, assist with inventory tracking, greet donors and guests, monitor equipment and fridge temperatures, support the CFS Supervisor/Thrift Store Manager and volunteers, help prepare and maintain the coffee station, and ensure health and safety standards are met in a church-community setting. Requires lifting up to 80 pounds, availability Monday–Friday, and the ability to work in a team while upholding mission and Christian standards.
Required Qualifications
- Secondary School Diploma or equivalent
- Safe Food Handling Certification
- Valid driver's license with clean abstract
- Minimum of two (2) years of prior related experience
