Job Summary
Community Mental Health Worker provides support to participants in the qathet Complex Care Housing program by assisting with daily living, encouraging life skills development, and providing emotional and practical support in alignment with multidisciplinary care plans. The role focuses on building therapeutic relationships, supporting harm reduction and trauma-informed practices, and collaborating with healthcare and community partners to strengthen housing and recovery outcomes. Part-time role with rotating daytime hours (Mon-Sun, 10:30am-6:00pm) at Complex Care Housing, New Roots Clinic.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12 plus one (1) year of recent experience in harm reduction
- Experience with trauma-informed care and harm reduction practices
- Experience in community healthcare settings
- Valid BC driver’s license and access to a personal vehicle
- Criminal Record and Vulnerable Sector Check clearance
- Knowledge of harm reduction and trauma-informed practice
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
