Community Mental Health Coordinator

Job Summary
Primary liaison coordinating behavioral health services among individuals and organizations to connect patients with Behavioral Health care and resources; build and maintain relationships with private practice and agencies for counseling, psychiatric, and care coordination services; represent the community behavioral health program at events; manage referrals, scheduling, and documentation across multiple providers; provide first point of contact for patients and clerical support to the behavioral health team; ensure adherence to mental health protocols and contribute to policies and workflows; requires Bachelor's (or Associate with 3-5 years) in related field and experience in Behavioral Health; proficient with MS Office and EHRs; ability to work in a nonprofit healthcare setting, with emphasis on cultural sensitivity.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in health care management/administration, business administration, public health, social work, psychology or related field
- Associate’s degree in similar field with 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare setting
- Experience working in the Behavioral Health and Substance Use field
- Experience with Electronic Health Records
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Knowledge and experience of website management preferred
- Highly self-motivated and able to function independently
- Must be fiscally focused and mission driven
- Immunizations Required: Hepatitis B, COVID-19 Vaccination
