Job Summary
Community Manager responsible for fostering positive resident and public interactions, leasing apartments (inquiries, showings, applications, deposits), income and credit verification, and ensuring lease renewals. Manage rent collection processes, delinquency control, and court proceedings as needed. Maintain curb appeal and confidentiality of residents’ information. Oversee operating budgets and expense control, assemble and verify income/credit documents, ensure compliance with SHFA commitments, and coordinate inspections and capital improvements. Lead a service-oriented culture with residents, family members, and staff; travel to community locations; supervise and develop associates; ensure timely reporting and adherence to policies. Requires strong interpersonal, sales, and organizational skills, knowledge of property-management laws and best practices, and familiarity with LIHTC/Section 8/HUD programs. Must have a high school diploma or GED and be comfortable with driving as needed for property visits.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED
- Experience working in affordable housing programs including LIHTC, Section 8, and HUD preferred
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team of associates
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software
- Reliable driving license and insurance
