Job Summary
Community Manager at Wallick Communities leads a leasing and maintenance team to deliver a positive resident experience. Responsible for processing payroll, rent collections, and supplier invoices; maintains occupancy targets, reviews rental applications for approval, and ensures regulatory-compliant move-out, inspections, and reporting. Must bring prior residential property management or general manager experience, with HUD/Section 8 familiarity a plus, and strong leadership, organizational, and tech skills (Microsoft Office; Yardi preferred). The role emphasizes resident-focused service, operational excellence, and alignment with Wallick’s employee-owned culture.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year experience as a residential property manager or 3 years in a general manager role
- HUD / Section 8 experience a big plus
- High School diploma or associate’s degree; COS, LIHTC, HCCP, AHM a plus
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and preferably Yardi
- Reliable transportation
- Strong leadership and people-management skills
- Experience in reviewing rental applications and maintaining occupancy targets (minimum 98%)
- Accountability for payroll processing and vendor/payable workflows
