Job Summary
Manage day-to-day operations of an assigned apartment community, lead the property team, and drive achievement of budgeted financial and operational goals. Responsible for rent setting and collection, approvals of vendor invoices, lease enforcement and renewals, regular property inspections, and maintenance of the property’s appearance and safety. Develop and analyze budgets and marketing/leasing strategies to sustain occupancy and revenue, respond to resident questions and service requests to promote satisfaction and retention, and supervise staff including hiring, onboarding, and performance management. Coordinate owner communications, ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws (Fair Housing, ADA, FCRA), and oversee reporting and administrative tasks. California-specific responsibilities include adherence to the California Lease File Checklist to ensure lease documents are complete and organized.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business Management, Real Estate, or related field
- 4-6 years minimum of relevant experience demonstrating property management, sales, marketing, and customer service background sufficient to manage day-to-day operation of an apartment community
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated with ability to work independently, as a leader, and as a team member
- Licenses and/or certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions
- Valid driver’s license to drive a golf cart on property (and ensure others with access have valid license)
- Proficiency in property management software (Entrata, Yardi, OneSite)
