Job Summary
General Manager responsible for leading a Scion community operation at The Grove at Auburn in Auburn, AL. Leads staff development and leadership; partners with Talent Acquisition and HR to attract and hire; ensures effective scheduling and after-hours coverage; drives employee engagement and morale through data-driven leadership. Oversees property administration, vendor management, risk management, quarterly apartment inspections, and adherence to policies and procedures. Manages facilities and capital projects, including obtaining vendor bids, budgeting, and approval processes. Leads annual turnover planning and execution, supports revenue targets, leasing velocity, and customer experience. Coordinates with finance and other departments on budgets, forecasts, and cost controls. Applies Scion standards for safe, sanitary, and appealing property operations, with a focus on resident experience and KPI achievement. Requires exceptional communication, time management, conflict resolution, and confidentiality; 3+ years managing living communities and a team; proficient with property management systems and project management tools.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years’ experience managing living communities and a team of 3+
- Proficient in Property Management Systems (Entrata preferred)
- Experience coordinating staffing and turnover processes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Customer-centric mindset
- Ability to manage budgets, financial performance, and KPI targets
- Ability to collaborate with Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, Legal, and other departments
- Experience with vendor management and contract administration
- Ability to conduct property inspections and ensure compliance with codes
- Ability to work non-traditional hours during peak times and emergencies
