Job Summary
Manage the operations of a tax credit community by supervising assigned staff, conducting background checks, and leasing vacant units to approved applicants. Ensure full compliance with HUD regulations, Housing Authority policies, and Low-Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC) requirements through managing recertification programs and monitoring tenant eligibility. Oversee financial records, collect rents, prepare reports, and coordinate maintenance work orders while maintaining property standards. This exempt full-time role requires 2+ years of LIHTC experience and bilingual proficiency, offering a salary of $65,000-$70,000 with comprehensive benefits.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 years of Managing communities with Tax Credit programs
- 2 years supervisory experience effectively working with all levels of staff and management
- 2 + years' experience in Tax Credit (LIHTC) compliance, certification and recertification
- Must hold a certification related to LIHTC or compliance, such as TCS or COS
- Must be knowledgeable of all local, state and federal Fair Housing laws and regulations
- Superior customer service skills and the ability to deal with difficult people and challenging situations while maintaining a positive and calm demeanor
- Ability to effectively and accurately communicate and present information verbally and in writing with tenants, owners and vendors
- Must be proficient with MS Office and Yardi-Voyager
- Possess proven financial and accounting acumen
- Demonstrated ability to read a budget, conduct financial analysis and provide practical narrative and financial reporting
Desired Qualifications
- Preferably Bilingual: English/Spanish speaking
- Experience with Onesite/Yardi software, preferred
- AHM, COS, SCHM certification or equivalent preferred
