Job Summary
The Community Manager will oversee all key functions for a 72-unit affordable-housing property in Marion, VA, including HUD Section 8 and LIHTC programs, rental applications, rent collections, annual recertifications, compliance, reporting, and file management. Lead the on-site team (Leasing Agents, Assistant Managers, Maintenance) to ensure strong curb appeal, timely unit turns, and responsive work orders, while managing resident relations, vendor partnerships, budgeting, and inspections. Requires experience in affordable housing operations and a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Experience managing affordable housing, including HUD, Section 8, and LIHTC programs
- Strong understanding of compliance, recertifications, audits, and file management
- Proven ability to lead onsite teams and oversee daily property operations
- Skilled in resident relations, rent collections, budgeting, and vendor coordination
- Organized, dependable leader focused on property performance and community standards
- Valid Drivers license is required
