Job Summary
The Community Manager is responsible for the overall performance and daily operations of a residential apartment community, overseeing leasing, maintenance, financial performance, and resident satisfaction while leading on-site team members. Responsibilities include developing, managing, and analyzing budgets and occupancy, monitoring rent collection and expenses, conducting property inspections, hiring and supervising staff, addressing resident concerns, ensuring compliance with Fair Housing and local regulations, coordinating with maintenance for asset condition and service response times, and reporting performance metrics to the Residential Portfolio Manager.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree in business, Real Estate, or related field preferred
- 5+ years of experience in multi-family residential property management, including at least 2 years managing multiple locations
- Strong financial and operational acumen
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in property management software (e.g., Yardi, RealPage)
- In-depth knowledge of Fair Housing laws, landlord-tenant regulations, and budgeting
- Ability to work weekends or extended hours as needed
