Job Summary
Community Manager at ACC Management Group overseeing affordable housing communities (Section 8/Rural Development). Responsible for daily property operations, compliance with housing regulations, resident services, high occupancy, and protecting financial performance. Travel between Baldwin, Roberts, Glenwood City, Star Prairie, and Woodville with the home office in Baldwin; collaborate with residents, vendors, and the management team to maintain safe, well-maintained, compliant housing and quality service; duties include coordinating showings and move-ins, lease processing, renewals, rent collection, delinquency handling, resident relations, vendor coordination, and ensuring Fair Housing compliance.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge, Skill & Ability Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- 1-2 years of property management or industry related experience required.
- Knowledge of project-based section 8 or section 42 experience a plus.
- Knowledge of fair housing laws a plus.
- Knowledgeable and proficient with computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, database and presentation software (MS outlook, word and excel).
- Experience with Onesite software is a plus.
- Must be able to physically inspect the properties.
- Maintain valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
- Flexibility with working hours and availability for later hours or Saturdays as needed.
- Ability to prioritize and possess efficient time management skills.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills with ability to handle complaints in a positive and time efficient manner.
- Goal-oriented and team player.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with affordable housing programs (Section 8, Section 42) is a plus
- Experience supervising on-site staff
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Strong knowledge of Fair Housing laws
- Proficiency with property-management software (Onesite a plus)
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Budgeting and financial oversight experience
- Ability to manage multiple properties and travel between sites
