Job Summary
Community Manager for properties with Section 8 and LIHTC experience. Responsible for daily operations of assigned property, assisting Regional Manager with staffing decisions, budgeting, leasing, occupancy, HUD compliance, and property programs. Oversees staff, maintains wait list, ensures units are turned and leased promptly, conducts property inspections, utilizes Onesite, coordinates resident events, manages monthly calendars, handles rent deposits, maintains compliance with Section 8 and Tax Credit programs, supports annual budget processes, manages delinquencies and payables, maintains resident paperwork, prepares for Management Occupancy Review, and generates regular reports. Requires Bachelor’s degree and 1+ year of property management managerial experience; 3+ years preferred; strong communication and organizational skills; knowledge of affordable housing programs; ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- At least 1 year of Property Management experience in a managerial role
- Must have working knowledge of affordable housing programs
- Familiarity with clerical practices, office procedures, and automated equipment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
- Must be able to maintain confidentiality
- Must be able to complete tasks in a timely manner
- Must be able to meet assigned deadlines
- Must be a self starter and self motivated
- Ability to satisfactorily complete tasks with minimal supervision
- Education and Experience: 1 year PM experience in a managerial role; 3 years preferred
