Job Summary
Oversee property operations to ensure exceptional resident service and meet financial targets through cost control and revenue improvement programs. Manage rent collections, file evictions, and ensure compliance with fair housing laws in all leasing and marketing activities. Train property employees to follow established procedures and protocols while driving leasing production and maintaining product knowledge to maximize occupancy. This role requires occasional Saturdays and evening availability for social events. Based in Fort Wayne, the Community Manager will report to Homestead Companies, a fully integrated real estate firm specializing in multifamily, student housing, and active 55+ living.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in property management
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and regulations
- Experience with Entrata
- Experience in preparing monthly variance reporting
- Ability to sit, walk, stand in an office area and throughout the property for long periods of time
- Ability to verbally communicate
- Ability to lift to up to 15 pounds
- Ability to use hands and arms for writing, typing, lifting, holding, grabbing, and pulling
- Must be available for occasional Saturdays
- Must be available for evenings
